Uganda Albinos Association (UAA) is an indigenous, non-governmental and non-profitable social organization.
Established in 2009 to fight discrimination and promote social justice.
UAA handles issues affecting persons with Albinism by implementing organization collaboration with government, donors and strategic partners. We work in collaboration with the Government, NGOs and community groups as relevant.
We promote and secure vulnerable and marginalized people with Albinism through advocacy, capacity building, education & training, health care and providing them with opportunities and make them initiative & capable with result-oriented projects & programs.

Uganda Albinos Association (UAA) focuses on providing hope, opportunities, and involvement for people with Albinism. We implement non-profitable social work in fields ranging from health and education to economic development.
We promote and secure vulnerable groups, ensuring they are not excluded from society while creating capabilities with result-oriented programs.

Our current practices of implementing programs and activities include mobilizing funds from our donors and partners, holding induction meetings, and coordinating with local level stakeholders.

Mr. Ssebyanzi Yuda
Founder Member
Mr. Yuda is a founder member of the association. He is university graduate with a bachelor of psychology from Makerere university. He is well experienced in management of the affairs of the association since its formation. Likewise, he is well skilled at training need assessment and prioritization. Besides this, he can design training curriculum development, need assessment as well as analyses Research and Data. Moreover, he can record and report the project research. Due to his intra-personality, he can build a good rapport and manage conflict as well as negotiate with stakeholders. Most importantly, he can coordinate and build networks with national and international organizations and collaborate with them for program implementation.
Miss. Catherine Nabawanuka
Member
Miss Catherine has grown through the support of the association. She is a graduate with a bachelor of pharmacy from Makerere university. She has a good leading capacity in the organization, management and capacity to handle the critical situation. She also plays a vital role regarding medication and research in area of medical challenges facing persons with albinism. Similarly, she has participated in international workshops and conferences regarding persons with albinism and disability fraternity.
Mr. Jaliru Wakabi
Finance Director
He is the finance director of UAA is an accountant by profession and a certified public accountant. He has working experience of over 10 years working with financial institutions. He supports in resource mobilization, projects implementation, monitoring, reporting, accountability and preparation of the association’s financial statements. He has participated in different national and international level trainings. His interests lie in accounting and finance, teaching-learning and self-study. He has a great interest in music and traveling.
Lukabwe Samali
Secretary Women
As Secretary for Women, she champions the rights and welfare of women and girls with albinism within the association. She spearheads initiatives focused on gender equality, healthcare access, and economic empowerment, ensuring that the specific challenges faced by women in the community are addressed with care and dedication.
Kibirige Micheal
Representative of parent of children with albinism
Representing the parental perspective, Mr. Kibirige plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between families and the association. He advocates for the needs of children with albinism, providing support and guidance to parents on early childhood care, inclusive education, and social integration.
Mulondo Hassan
General Secretary
Serving as General Secretary, Mr. Mulondo oversees the administrative functions of the association. He is responsible for coordinating meetings, maintaining organizational records, and ensuring effective communication between the board and members. His leadership is vital for the smooth operation of UAA's daily activities and strategic goals.




We plan to achieve our aim through advocacy, capacity building, developing, testing and delivering evidence-based, feasible and cost-effective intervention relating to human rights, health, social and economic development.
