Uganda Albinos Association (UAA) is an indigenous, non-governmental and non-profitable social organization established in 2009 to fight discrimination against persons with albinism, promotion of good health, and social justice.
We promote and secure vulnerable and marginalized people with Albinism through advocacy, capacity building, education & training, health care, and providing them with opportunities to make them capable with result-oriented projects & programs.

Our Major Working Areas
Health & Medical CareWe focus on skin and site health, public health, and mental health. This includes our partnership with the Uganda Cancer Institute for skin cancer screening and providing sun creams to members.
Advocacy & Human RightsWe fight for and promote all social, political, and economic rights through advocacy, capacity building, and strategic partnerships. We aim to ensure special treatment in education and health sectors.





Our main aim is to provide hope, good health, decent living, development and learning opportunity for people with Albinism most of the times excluded in society.
Major Achievements
From healthcare to policy change, our impact is measured in lives touched and systems changed.
Cancer Screening
Collaborated with Uganda Cancer Institute to screen over 187 persons and identify positive cases for treatment.
Medical Care
Distributed 95,300+ sun creams to over 4,532 persons with albinism for skin protection.
Capacity Building
Strengthened branches in Lira, Kayunga, Jinja, and Kabale with training and resource mobilization.
Parliamentary Action
Successfully advocated for the recognition of skin cancer as a type of cancer in Uganda policies.
Workshops
Conducting annual workshops on health rights and cancer prevention interventions.
Alliances
United civil societies to advocate for cancer policy reviews and committee formation.
